Karla has been practicing and teaching yoga for seven years. Drawing from an extensive bellydance career, she was drawn to yoga and meditation. What started as a curiosity, blossomed into a very real, healing journey for her and she found herself improving physically, emotionally and spiritually. When expressing how she feels she says, “I feel like I’ve found the source of love!”
Fluent in Spanish and English, Karla is certified in both Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga. Earning her Vinyasa certification through Ellen de Jonge, and her Ashtanga certification through Michael Gannon Yoga, both in Playa del Carmen; she is well known in this world yoga community. Karla also takes her passion abroad, travelling to India in 2012 and Thailand in 2013, to delve more deeply into the discipline of yoga. She herself practices asana and meditation six times a week and feels her love of yoga helps to keep her on the right path. Staying connected to her spiritual source provides her with happiness, peace and tranquility.
I enjoy each day as it comes. Yes, sometimes I get disconnected and feel distant from my spiritual source but yoga always brings me back to center. For me, teaching yoga brings me joy – to see smiles every time we complete a class. My students start to release their stress and gradually they feel stronger, confident and happy. This is why I love sharing this practice every day. I want to share it with as many people as I can in my lifetime!
There are no limits;
I feel yoga is for everyone.
